The Psychology of Weight Loss (seminars)

Most of our weight problems are caused by what we learned in childhood.

Have you tried many different diets?

Have you lost weight and just put it back on again within weeks or months?

Do you believe you will always be fat and never lose weight?

Do you often get depressed about the way you look?

Do you think that if only you were thin you would feel better and be happy?

Do you hate going out because of the way you look?

Do you think you are fat even though people say you look fine?

Is your self-image low? Do you lack confidence?

All these of these thoughts and beliefs cause us to remain overweight. The more concerned and worried you are about losing weight, the more likely you are to have a weight problem.

People who “think thin” also “eat thin”. It is true that you are what you think you are.

Changing your belief system and feelings about yourself are the most effective way to ensure that you will keep the weight off.

You can shed excess weight in a remarkably easy way, without anxiety or fad diets!

Don’t waste another day!

Help to spread the word

Hello

I’ve been doing a little bit of financial-projections today and we urgently need to gather more people to our local support group meetings … otherwise the future isn’t looking so rosy for our LSG.

Please kindly place this poster wherever you can …

Thank you!

International Therapist – letter from the Editor

Dear LSG Coordinators and members,

Happy new year to you all!

First of all, I would like to apologise for the round-robin email but as you will see, time is of the essence on this occasion!

My name is Karen Young and I am the Editor of International Therapist. I am pleased to inform you that International Therapist is being put forward for a ‘Magazine of the Year’ award, organised by PPA (www.ppa.co.uk).

Our entry for this award would be greatly enhanced if we could include some lovely comments about the magazine from our members – which is where our local support groups and coordinators come in!

f you, or any of your group members, would like to send in a quote to me at kyoung @ fht.org.uk by 10th January, it would be very much appreciated. We are hoping to demonstrate to the judges that our new-look magazine (launched in Jan 2007) is highly regarded by our members for…. its informative articles …. its reader-friendly design …. keeping members up to date with regulation and changes to the industry that affect their practice? Whatever your heart desires!

Just two or three sentences would be wonderful (no more than 100 words per quote, thank you). Please ensure to include your name and membership number somewhere in your email.

Many thanks for your support.

Best wishes,

Karen
